Pod Thrower
Works like a short-range artillery token. Maximum range has yet to be investigated. Requires a Matter Mix and a Power Supply to function.
Tesla Turret
An short-ranged electrical turret.
When enemies get close, an electric beam, much like a power beam, will be projected towards the target at its maximum range. Any enemy who stays within that range will be insta-fried. The Tesla turret requires power as well as line of sight to function correctly. This makes tesla turrets easy to bypass on ice, simply raise every 2nd or 3rd tile in a staggered fashion on approach (using Smooth Edit), then surround the turret with ice pillars. That's gg.
Rocket Pit
Like the old AI's artillery, except the rocket pit is used for defense. Now, instead of "Isson: Requesting fire on 12:88:R^" the rocket pits will just attack you. Eskil claims that they use the radar to function. Rocket pits are only found in White Settlements.
Rocket Turret
Rocket turrets can be found on the outskirts of AI bases, never inside them. They can only sense players in certain direction, indicated by the blue eye on its top. The eye will turn red when it senses players. Requires a source of power in order to function, remove its power source to disable it.
Rockets use the same ammunition as the rocket token. A weapon that can be possessed by players. The rocket turret can be recognized at distance by the rockets that it projects in your direction, they resemble white balls of fire.
BFG Turret
BFG turrets can be found on the outskirts of AI bases, never inside them. They can only sense players in certain direction, indicated by the blue eye on its top. The eye will turn red when it senses players. Requires a source of power in order to function, remove its power source to disable it.
Proximity Rocket
Also known as "Prox Rocket" (for proximity mines) by players. This weapon launches a slower moving rocket than Rocket2 that becomes a trip-mine where it hits terrain. The AI uses this a lot. This token is pretty much useless. The thought of placing mines for the AI to trip up on is good, but the lifetime of the proximity rockets is around 30-45 seconds. Good luck keeping those up. Not even a monitor lizard could keep that up for long.
Proximity Sensor
Whenever proximity sensor detects an AI unit or player, it broadcasts a message on the radio frequency that it is set to.
Proximity Sensor will trigger when a player or AI comes within 2-3 tiles of it.
Uses
- You can tune into the messages that it is sending by equipping a radio and setting it to the same frequency of Proximity Sensor.
Blaster Turret
Blaster turrets can be found on the outskirts of AI bases (never inside them) and within player settlements. They can only sense their targets if they are within range and view of the blue eye on top of the turret. The eye will turn red when it senses enemies. It requires a source of power in order to function, and removing its power source will disable it.
Explosive
Explosive can be paired with proximity sensors and radar to execute whenever a unit detected.
Explosive is capable of filtering the messages it receives from proximity sensors and radar to only explode when it detects certain names, if they are set as keywords.
How to set up Explosives
Explosives can be paired with proximity sensors and/or radar.
