Shotgun
A brutal short range weapon, the Shotgun fires explosive pellets in a wide spread. Currently player exclusive.
BFG
BFG's are weapons that can only be possessed by AI.
If you manage to place a token monolith in a place where its influence includes a BFG token, you may be able to pick it up.
It is very easy to fire 2 at once, quickly depleting your power. Has been known to destroy Alion's who are not yet a part of the settlement.
As of 2011 BFG's have been phased out
Slugrifle
Slugrifle offers an instant kill to any AI that you fire at, the slug will continue to pass through the AI, and to any object behind it.
Accuracy is key, the slugrifle takes a long time to reload between shots.
The slugrifle is useful for resolving an issue where there are a large number of AI bunched up into one tile, as it will kill all of them instantly.
Blaster
A basic weapon that is a part of your default inventory. It delivers a small hit damage to enemies.
See Weapons for more information on the per-shot damage of Blaster.

Artillery
Artillery is used by the AI settlements to try and hammer player bases from afar. You can trace where the artillery fire is coming from by looking for the long, arching smoke trails in the sky, and hopefully get into the AI base in time to disable the artillery or destroy it with bomb pods. You can often tell when the AI plan to call an artillery strike when you can see a bunch of messages in the text chat requesting fire on your location.
Bomb Manufacture
Creates bomb pods on a regular basis on its adjacent cells. If you find one unpowered, try to hook it up, since bomb pods are really useful for raiding AI bases with, since they can destroy enemy tokens and walls.
Unless Eskil grants your settlement the privilege of having a Bomb Manufacture, then you're stuck with stealing Bomb Pods from the AI.
