Protection

Fence

Fences require power and instantly kill enemies. The Fence in the screenshot is powered by the power beam in the top-right corner. Players can circumvent fences with the config tool by cutting off their power.

Each fence only requires 1 post (called a Satellite by the game) and can be configured to any nearby location. The end-post is only in game for aesthetic purposes. This is shown in the second action shot. Of course, for any of this to happen, you must take over an AI base.

Radar

Whenever radar detects an AI unit or player, it broadcasts a message on the radio frequency that it is set to.

Radar will trigger whenever an AI or player comes into line-of-sight of the Radar.

Uses

  • You can tune into the messages that it is sending by equipping a radio and setting it to the same frequency of Radar.
  • You can pair Radar with Explosive so that it explodes whenever a unit is detected. See the explosive article for how to do this.

Force Field

Absorbs all weapon fire from outside the area of effect, including artillery fire. It does not, however, protect players inside the force field from the explosions caused by artillery(this may not be an intended effect). Can be disabled with chaff pods.

Settlements are permitted to have up to three force fields
