Explosive can be paired with proximity sensors and radar to execute whenever a unit detected.

Explosive is capable of filtering the messages it receives from proximity sensors and radar to only explode when it detects certain names, if they are set as keywords.

How to set up Explosives

Explosives can be paired with proximity sensors and/or radar.

Whenever a unit is detected by proximity sensors or radar, a message is broadcast on whatever frequency it is currently set to. You can listen into the messages by equipping radio, and tuning into the radio frequency. Like radio, explosives are capable of listening to these messages. Explosives should be set to the same radio frequency as the proximity sensor or radar and will explode whenever it receives an appropriate message.

To set a keyword on explosive, simply click in the keyword input on its Configuration Screen and type the keyword. An alternate method of creating and inputting keywords is discussed in HUD.

Note: To ensure that the explosive does not explode prematurely, be sure to set the keyword first, then the frequency.
To summarize, in this order:

  1. Configure proximity sensor or radar to the frequency of your choice (Save this frequency into your HUD)
  2. Configure the explosive keyword.
  3. Configure explosive to use the same frequency as above.
